accio-blue-box: I agree, I'm apprehensively excited as well because we don't know JKR's writing style outside of the HP series. But it says the target audience will be adults, not children, so I'm interested to see what she does there. She had stated in the past that she was planning on writing a series for very young children, but it appears that won't be happening anytime soon. Have you seen the documentary JK Rowling: A Year in the Life? It's on YouTube. I highly recommend it. I think you'd like it a lot.
I have it in HD from torrents and have watched it at least 5 times, and have ripped the audio to put on my ipod so I can listen to it. It’s inspirational, haha. Let’s just see how this turns out. I’m personally hoping for a more grown up but still silly and awesome HP-esque novel.
